Alone

Alone.

Alone in Panthertown Valley a few years ago.

I tend to go hiking and backpacking alone. I do enjoy company when I hike, but it's depressingly difficult for me to find hiking companions whose schedules are compatible to my own. So I end up heading off into the woods and mountains by myself.

But I tend to think better when other humans are far away from me. The old thoughts germinate. The ideas percolate. As soon as I can, I want to head off into the forests again without anyone around to bug the shit out of me.

I'm looking forward to it.
