A Fantasy Within a Dream Wrapped in Color
One nice thing about my days scripting for various comic book companies is that I still know a few comic book artists from my time in that industry. I met Mark Masztal through our mutual pal Steve Bissette (who tried to get us together many years ago--but just at the time I abandoned comics, unfortunately). Mark bought a copy of my novel, THE FLOCK and, he being a really good comic artist, did a mock cover for a non-existent comics version of my book. Here it is, in all it's wonderful glory, featuring The Scarlet Rogue:
