Alas.

To ring in the new year, my Kindle stopped working. I've been told that it's the battery. I've also been told that you can't really replace the battery, contrary to all of those Kindle batteries for sale on the Internet (the contraption wasn't made, apparently, for the battery to be successfully replaced). So the Kindle my wife paid $200 for can now be purchased for $49. Am I gonna buy a new one? Fuck, no. It made a half-assed tablet which was mainly what I used it for.

Thus ends my adventure in reading ebooks.
