The Little Serengeti

I call the back yard at Carole's mom's place "the Little Serengeti". Because it's packed much of the time cheek by jowl with all sorts of wildlife of the smaller variety. Today was no different, but whenever I tried to get photographs of the little critters they would all take that as their cue to flee into the azaleas or high into the tree canopy. The only thing I was able to photograph effectively today were squirrels. Lost as blurs were bluebirds, cottontail rabbits, and a hawk (no wonder the little folk were nervous).

So here were the only cooperative furry friends who stood still long enough for me to take clear photos:

"I can see you, old man!"

"Yer harmless, ya big galoot!"
