Kirk Douglas

I enjoy reading the blog by John Kricfalusi. One thing that he likes pointing out is that movie stars from the earlier days of Hollywood were far more fascinating and different than what he perceives as the actors of today who are largely cookie-cutter clones. (Sorry--the Stan Lee influence won't stop rising to the surface.)

One guy that he likes to the point of using him often in his work (thinly veiled) is Kirk Douglas. I like Douglas, too. Not as much as I did when I was a kid, but I do admire much of his work. I also like stop motion animation. And I liked Frank Gorshin, who does these voices.
