Buzzards

Andy and I got a kick out of watching the soaring Black buzzards while we were sitting on top of Babel Tower. They would criss-cross the gorge, sailing back and forth, searching for the scent of carrion. Riding the thermals, we never saw them flap their wings--they'd just tilt from side to side, altering course casually, rising or falling or gliding level as they pleased.

Amazing.

As slow as it seemed they were moving, it was still hard to get a good photo.

The new camera doesn't quite have the necessary zoom capabilities of the old Canon. Alas.
