The Season Breathes its Last

Summer's last breath is sighing out. The weekend in northern Virginia was a great illustration of this. In Clifton I saw the final blooms on the ivy. Bumblebees were searching out what remained of the flower blossoms. In Shenandoah National Park the trees were blazing as Fall came in, full swing. Winds were blowing across the high ridges, very cool, chilling us, and letting us know that cold weather is on its way for the peaks.

I soaked it all in.
