For some years I've read a number of articles and essays about the intelligence and emotional range of elephants.
They're far smarter and far more emotionally sensitive than most human beings have given them credit. All part of our fucked-up human-centric way of looking at the Earth and its environment.
One thing that intrigues me is the physical conflicts between men and elephants. Yes, the elephant has gotten the shit end of that stick, but quite often elephants kick some mighty ass.
